Hola amigos y amigas, es un gusto nuevamente estar con ustedes en esto llamado Ongaku Ska, este podcast que humildemente trata de llevarles a ustedes lo mejor de la música jamaiquina hecha en Japón, algo de música negra y por demás, caribeña, todo hecho, fabricado en “La Tierra del Sol Naciente” . En esta edición #66 hay música relajante en un modo para ser disfrutada hacia un atardecer, preferiblemente, por ello el título del episodio, o para disfrutarla cuando así usted querido escucha así lo desee.
El plato fuerte de éste episodio es el estreno del más reciente disco de los FRISCO, banda Reggae, Rocksteady Lounge de Tokyo de las mejores y más sólidas actualmente en la capital nipona. Su 4to disco en estudio salió hacia el último trimestre del pasado año, y se titula “Good Night, Sleep Tight Young Lovers” un trabajo de 16 temas impecables, donde destaca una versión del tema “Virtual Insanity” de Jamiroquai, hecha bajo un majestuoso arreglo que toma a ésta de la mano junto a “I’m Still in Love with You” de la voz más dulce de jamaica, el señor Alton Ellis. En ésta edición colocamos ese tema y otro de la misma calidad del ya nombrado. Recorrimos gran parte de la capital, nos fuimos hasta Osaka, Iwakuni, Yokohama y nos paseamos desde el Reggae, el Ska, algo de toques “electrónicos” , “soul-pop”, Jazz y mucho más.

Hello everybody, here a new episode of Ongaku Ska Podcast, a podcast dedicated to the japanese ska, reggae, jazz soul and all Black and Caribbean music played in Japan.

You’ll go to listen here: Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, Tsuyoshi Kawakami & his Moodmakers, the pioner ot the reggae music in Japan: P.J, authentic ska from Iwakuni perfecture with The Little Elephant, the eskargot miles & cubetone 2 of the besst traditional ska bands now in Japan and the released of the 4th studio album from the AMAZING reggae/ rocksteady lounge band: FRISCO, their album is called “Good Nighr, Sleep Tight Young Lovers” wonderful album with amazing and fantastic 16 tracks of Reggae, Rocksteady & Ska. There they recorded an ORIGINAL and INCREDIBLE version of Jamiroquai: “Virtual Insanity” in rocksteady tempo and played with the classic rocksteady tune: “I’m Still in Love with You”. The band was featured with a great japanese MC called: “Rickie G”, he’s the rocksteady voice of Jay Kay in this cover.
