50 episodios de Ongaku Ska y aunque esta edición no está precisamente hecha con la algarabía y la energía de siempre por la tragedia de Japón, sí está hecho con mucho afecto y buena onda para toda esa gente y para todo esa gran nación que en lo personal me llena de muchas satisfacciones y más aún en lo musical, así que este podcast lleva una selección de temas que van apegados al ánimo al positivismo, al honor a quienes murieron y a la fe para que Japón salga adelante.

Luego de un mes parado por ocupaciones personales retorno con el episodio #13 de Jamaica in the world, donde por fin pude estrenar discos como el “A Thousand Faces” de Yellow Umbrella, el “In the Studio Vol.2” de THREE SEVEN o los más recientes trabajos de gente como Tony Chin o Prince Fatty. Algunas rarezas como la hecha por los israelíes de Hoodska Explosive o el tema THE CAT de los Jump with Joey registrado en Japón en aquellos años dorados para los californianos comandados por Joey Altruda

Por supuesto escucharemos algo de Japón; a propósito, mi más profundo respeto y mi solidaridad con la gente de ese hermoso país por el tsunami que devastó Sendai y zonas aledañas. Japón país que significa mucho para esta música a nivel mundial, sin ellos el caribe estuviese muerte. Que mejor que honrar a ese país escuchando par de bandas de altísimo nivel: Una los THREE SEVEN de la escena underground de Kyoto y de Japón en las aguas del ska tradicional y otra los dioses: Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra. Todo lo mejor para ese país del lejano oriente.

Eso y mucho más es lo que puedes conseguir en este Jamaica in the World podcast, dedicado a temas de la “cinematografía” mundial a temas de series de TV que por alguna razón causaron agrado y fueron tomados y llevados al SKA, además de estrenos y las ya mencionadas “rarezas”.
